Parlor Pizza Bar has officially opened at 405 N. Dearborn Street in Chicago’s River North district. The eatery will occupy 9,000 square feet on the main level of 20 West Kinzie, Alter’s 17-story, 385,000-square-foot Class A office complex.
“We are pleased to welcome Parlor Pizza Bar and have no doubt that they will match the success they’ve had in the West Loop and Wicker Park,” said Richard Gatto, executive vice president of Alter. “Office and restaurant space is more coveted in River North than anywhere else in the city with the area posting a 7.5 percent vacancy rate. Between 2016 and 2018, River North rental growth was double that of the rest of Chicago, in part because it has become the heart of the tech sector.”
This marks the third Parlor Pizza Bar location in Chicago for restaurant owners Michael Bisbee and Tim Hendricks, who chose the building because of its world-class tenant mix—including the largest WeWork location in Chicago—and the vibrant, 24/7 neighborhood.
“Opening a location in River North has been a goal of ours for a while now,” said Bisbee. “When we heard that space was available, we jumped at the opportunity,” he continued. “We knew it would be a perfect fit, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring our restaurant to this premier dining and cultural district.
