Amazon expands its corporate office which opened last year in Chicago’s Loop, according to an announcement from the mayor’s office on Monday.
The company currently has 200 employees and plans to double the office’s footprint in the coming year.
During the opening event, Amazon made a $10,000 donation to Code Platoon, a non-profit that helps veterans transition into the civilian workforce by providing technical training and career placement.
Amazon’s Chicago office has teams working on Amazon Web Services, Operations, advertising and more.
