Andrew J. Essary joins Dayton Street Partners

Andrew J. Essary has joined Dayton Street Partners as director of construction and development. Essary will oversee Dayton Street’s active development portfolio which currently includes projects in Atlanta, Chicago and Houston.

We look to his expertise and leadership to oversee the successful development of our projects.”

Essary joins from Sterling Bay where he was a senior project manager overseeing a variety of the firm’s projects, most notably the redevelopment of 600 West Chicago; 1330 W. Fulton, a 290,000-square-foot, newly constructed office building in Fulton Market and the Chicago Public Library’s West Loop Branch, an adaptive re-use project that, upon completion, delivered the neighborhood’s first public library branch.

Prior to joining Sterling Bay, Essary was a senior project manager with JLL’s project and development services group overseeing tenant interiors. He began his career as an engineer with Halvorson & Partners, gaining invaluable experience while developing extensive technical skills. Essary is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds an MS in civil engineering from Stanford University.
