A&R Logistics has leased 133,333 square feet of tilt-wall, distribution warehouse at AmeriPort Industrial Park, located at 703 Logistics Drive South in Baytown, Texas. The tenant was represented by Charles G. Fertitta Jr of Colliers International.
“Our expansion in Baytown underscores our commitment to grow our export packaging operations,” said A&R Logistics’ president of export and domestic warehousing, Sam Diaz. “In addition to future growth to the east of Houston, we are also opening two state-of-the-art facilities in Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia in September and December, respectively. Each facility will have capacity to package 650 railcars per month.”
The developer of AmeriPort Industrial Park, National Property Holdings, was represented by Robert Alinger of Colliers International. AmeriPort Industrial Park is a 1,000+ acre, rail-served, master planned industrial park comprised of over four million square feet of buildings and 55 miles of railroad with storage in excess of 3,000 railcars. The park’s location in Baytown provides distribution warehouse, manufacturing and packaging facilities with easy accessibility and improved logistics that strengthen the operations of businesses located there.
“It is exciting to be part of the team and to advise A&R Logistics as it implements strategic plans and makes smart real estate decisions that help their customers meet their objectives,” said Fertitta.
Houston’s industrial market continues its rapid growth, with over 17 million square feet of industrial space currently under construction. Over three million square feet of the projects under construction are in the East-Southeast Far submarket, which also happens to be the largest submarket in Houston, with an existing inventory of 76.4 million square feet.
