ARCO/Murray recently completed a 90,200-square-foot build-to-suit facility for Supermax Healthcare Inc. located at 1899 Sequoia Drive in Aurora. The facility will serve as the company’s North American distribution headquarters.
Supermax Healthcare Inc. is an international manufacturer, distributor and marketer of latex medical gloves.
The project is seeking LEED gold certification and consists of 84,200 square feet of warehouse space and 6,000 square feet of office space. Energy saving LED high-bay light fixtures were installed in the warehouse for increased efficiency. The office features a custom skylight, LCD digital video display wall and a barrel vaulted ceiling in the conference room.
Alternative energy sources were incorporated by utilizing a 97.2kW photovoltaic solar array on the roof and solar powered hot water heaters. The entire facility, including site layout, landscaping and office layout, incorporated Feng Shui design principles.
