One of the leading providers of comprehensive data center solutions, Ascent, now has a partnership with Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT, Inc. CVMC REIT acquired the Ascent CH2 Data Center Facility located in Northlake, Illinois for $211.7 million and will provide new capital for the continued and build out of the facility. Ascent will continue working directly with both current and future tenants through its operation of the CH2 Facility, managing all design, data center development, engineering and operational services, and construction.
CH2 is a 250,000 square foot multi-tenant facility that features Ascent’s purpose-built Dynamic Data Center Suite model, as well as shared infrastructure colocation suites. The facility is designed for a broad range of customers with diverse power density requirements and computing, as it accommodates users with critical power requirements from less than 1 MW up to 20 MW of gross power.
The partnership allows both parties to focus on their core competencies, as Ascent will continue to deliver custom, built-to-suit data center suites and wholesale colocation space, and CVMC REIT will deliver financial resources to the project.
