Bridget Gray, an assistant engineer on Kansas City, Missouri-based Olsson’s Kansas City Water/Wastewater team, was named the Outstanding Young Professional of the Year by the Missouri Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA).
AWWA-Missouri honored Gray during its annual meeting.
Gray designs large-diameter water lines, booster pump stations and lift stations for municipal water and wastewater clients in Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas. She works with clients to engineer cost-effective solutions and navigate permitting issues for large, complex water projects.
In addition to her work at Olsson, Gray is active in AWWA-Missouri, volunteering her time on various committees that promote diversity and inclusion in the engineering industry. She’s also involved in the organization’s group for young professionals and leads the Drinking Water Week Committee.
Gray joined Olsson full-time in 2018 after she graduated from Rockhurst University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. She has worked on several high-profile projects at Olsson, including those for the cities of Kansas City, Missouri; Olathe and Manhattan, Kansas; and the Springdale Water Utility in Springdale, Arkansas.
