Savills Studley announces that the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), an international association based in Lincolnshire, Illinois, will relocate its headquarter operation from 75 Tri State International to nearly 10,000 square feet of the first floor of 8700 West Bryn Mawr in Chicago’s O’Hare submarket. ALA will move into their new on space April 1, 2015.
Corporate Managing Director, Jon Azulay of Savills Studley, negotiated the leasing terms for the organization. Dave Trumpy of GlenStar Properties represented the landlord, Prudential.
According to Azulay, ALA’s current landlord, Principal, was going to relocate the company because of an incoming tenant. Savills Studley was able to negotiate a successful termination agreement with the landlord that allows ALA to vacate the complex and move to a new space in the location and layout of their choosing. A healthy concession package was negotiated which helped facilitate the transaction and allow ALA to build out their new space cost effectively.
“Through our strategic negotiation, ALA is able to recognize immediate savings, while gaining an updated and more efficient floor plate in a central location easily accessible to public transportation and O’Hare, which is useful in the company’s retention and recruitment efforts.”
Azulay adds that “ALA’s new space is very open, encouraging a collaborative environment and room for growth. In addition, the first floor location gives the organization prominent identification on the lobby level of the building. Presidents Plaza is an amenity rich complex which ALA will greatly benefit from.”
