Avison Young hires Mike Hart as new principal and chief information officer

Avison Young has tapped technology leader Mike Hart to serve as principal and chief information officer. Hart will be based in the firm’s Chicago office.

A veteran of real estate services, Hart joins Avison Young from JLL, where he was most recently senior vice president of data and information technology, leading the company’s technology business partners within all aspects of their operations.

“Mike’s unique experience and expertise position him perfectly to lead our IT function while partnering with our industry-leading Innovation team,” said Avison Young principal and global chief operating officer, Martin Dockrill. “His proven track record of developing sales enablement tools is certain to further the breath and strength of our growing platform.”

Hart has extensive knowledge in the areas of data, information, product development and CRM. His expertise in developing products that visualize information and improve sales enablement has successfully led to the implementation of robust and effective CRM systems and platforms. Hart is also recognized as a skilled public speaker and contributor within the proptech community.

Avison Young also appointed Nina Mizushima to the role of director, cyber security, also based in the Chicago office. Mizushima will focus on cyber security and ensuring consistent protocols and policies throughout the organization.
