Avison Young appointed Jay Johnson as Principal and Executive Managing Director of Avison Young Healthcare Services.
He will lead the firm’s healthcare strategy, driving growth and market share while expanding Avison Young’s client base, strengthening the firm’s robust U.S. healthcare presence and enhancing the platform’s global reach.
Johnson brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience in sales and leasing brokerage, capital markets, construction project and development services, property management, consulting and valuation for healthcare occupiers and investors across the US.
He most recently served as National Director of Healthcare Markets at JLL where he advised hospitals, physician practices and other healthcare occupiers as well as real estate investors such as developers, REITs, private equity and pension funds to maximize the contribution of their real estate to their business and mission objectives. Johnson also held senior roles at Transwestern, CBRE and Ernst & Young over the course of his career.
