Avison Young has negotiated a 15,751-square-foot lease renewal on belhalf of Gerber National Claims Services. Located at 150 Center Court in Schaumburg, Illinois, the office space houses Gerber’s claims processing and administration departments.
Avison Young principal Rick Morris and Marc Fiedler, a senior associate in the firm’s Chicago office, represented the tenant. Jennifer Hopkins and Olivia Czyzynski of SVN Chicago Commercial represented the building’s owner, Performance Real Estate Services 3, LLC.
“The tenant had a tight timeframe and unique requirements due to the 24/7-nature of its call center operations,” said Morris. “Within three months from the hire date, we were able to secure significant tenant improvements, including space improvements and upgrades to the energy efficiency within the space in order to support the tenant’s heavy energy usage.”
Gerber National Claims Services, a national automotive-glass claim administrator, uses the space as a national call center, employing 60 call-center and administrative employees. The tenant-improvement package was valued at more than $500,000.
