Avison Young has negotiated the sale of a multi-tenant 35-acre land site at 4500 Kishwaukee Street in Rockford, Illinois, on behalf of HSA Commercial Real Estate.
Avison Young Principals Erik Foster and Mike Wilson, based in the firm’s Chicago office and leaders of Avison Young’s U.S. industrial capital markets team, represented the seller, HSA Commercial Real Estate; the buyer was a private investor.
The industrial facility that sits on the 35-acre property is located in one of the strongest industrial submarkets in the Rockford area. It has excellent access to the Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD), which is directly adjacent to the facility. RFD is also home to North America’s second largest UPS hub.
“This is a coveted airport location and strategic logistics focal point for delivery and e-commerce giants such as UPS, Amazon, and others,” said Foster. “The proximity to transportation hubs also adds value to productivity making this an ideal location for manufacturers and logistics companies,” added Wilson.
