Rick Eddington

Rick Eddington of Back Nine Apartment Investors has been promoted to the role of principal. He advances his career with the Chicago-based firm from his role as director of acquisitions, but will continue to be responsible for identifying investment opportunities.

“Rick has exhaustive market knowledge developed through his ability to connect with real estate professionals around the country,” said Doug Imber, co-founder and principal of Back Nine Apartment Investors. “He has been an incredible resource on each of our acquisitions and has shown tremendous leadership qualities.”

Since July 2017, Eddington led Back Nine’s acquisition team to source and close over $50 million in multifamily and mixed-use assets in various U.S. markets. His responsibilities included market research, deal sourcing, debt structuring and due diligence management. Prior to joining Back Nine, Eddington spent ten years in finance where he specialized in middle market lending for real estate investors and privately held businesses. He has been involved in over $300,000,000 in real estate transactions.

“We are thrilled to expand Rick’s role as we launch our second fund,” said Jill Sickle, co-founder and principal of Back Nine. “We have built a great team at Back Nine and are thrilled that he will join us as a principal of the company.”
