It’s that time of year again. Midwest Real Estate News is putting the finishing touches on its annual Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame issue. Our latest edition will feature more than 80 of the Midwest’s top real estate pros. Here’s a preview look at one of these real estate stars, Barbara Bennett from CBRE|Louisville.
Years in the business: More than 25
Why she is Hall of Fame material: Property management has become an ever more important service for CRE clients. And when it comes to providing top service, few property management specialists can match Barbara Bennett. Bennett, senior property manager with CBRE|Louisville, boasts more than 25 years experience managing commercial and residential properties of all types. The “secret” to Bennett’s success? She provides only the best customer service to both building owners and tenants. The reason behind this is simple: She has an uncanny knack for understanding the goals of both groups of clientele. And she knows how to help both of them reach these goals.
Career accomplishments: Bennett today manages about 8 million square feet of industrial property within the greater Louisville area. This includes the total portfolio for USAA Industrial REIT, Principal Life Insurance Company, Dividend Capital Trust, KTR Capital Partners and State Teachers Retirement System. Bennett also works with an impressive list of tenants, including Amazon.com, Zappo’s, Alliance Entertainment, Ebay.com and Honeywell International.
Why her work matters: In an industry still largely dominated by men, Bennett ranks as one of the most accomplished female CRE pros. Simply put, she is a role model for other women who wish to craft a busy career in the commercial real estate industry.
