Chicago-based Parkside Realty, Inc. announced that industry veteran Barbara Schenberg is joining the firm as executive vice president of leasing. Schenberg brings over 25 years of commercial real estate experience assisting private and institutional owners with leasing and development of Chicago-area properties. Schenberg will facilitate the marketing and leasing of properties owned by the principals of Parkside.

“Barb is a sought-after expert on Chicago’s downtown and neighborhood submarkets, as well as its office real estate landscape,” said Camille Julmy, vice-chairman of Parkside. “She is highly respected for her thoughtful analysis and dynamic approach to showcasing properties, and we know she will bring tremendous value to our team.”

Schenberg joins Parkside after nine years as executive director of the agency leasing team at Cushman & Wakefield, where she was responsible for leasing and new business development. Her assignments included leasing all asset classes of new developments, existing buildings and adaptive re-use properties with a focus on office. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Schenberg spent the majority of her career as senior vice president at The John Buck Company.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Camille, Bob Wislow, Katie Scott and the entire team at Parkside,” said Schenberg. “This is an extraordinary group of distinguished professionals who value both innovation and relationships, and Parkside’s leaders have made a significant positive impact on Chicago’s commercial real estate market for decades. I look forward to this new and exciting chapter.”
