Baum Realty Group announces sale of a Motor Row Value-Add investment property

Chicago-based Baum Realty Group, LLC, one of the Midwest’s leading retail brokerage firms, announced that Baum’s Investment Sales Team brokered the sale of a mixed-use property in Chicago’s Motor Row neighborhood.

Baum Realty Group Investment Sales Team of Danny Spitz and Greg Dietz represented the seller in a REO transaction of a ±17,100 square foot building located at 2210-12 S. Michigan Avenue in Chicago’s Motor Row District for $1,600,000.

According to Baum Vice President, Danny Spitz, “Real estate investors are targeting Motor Row as a developing neighborhood with room to run.” “The CTA Green Line under construction 1 block away on E. Cermak Road, DePaul’s new arena and McCormick Place made this property an attractive long-term bet,” added Spitz.

Baum Investment Sales Team members are experts in representing multi-tenant retail shopping centers and urban retail / mixed-use properties in metropolitan Chicago. In addition to the sale of the Motor Row District location, Baum’s team recently sold: • ±27,000 square foot mixed-use property located at 1348 – 52 N. Milwaukee Ave for $3,750,000. • ± 8,638 square foot mixed-use property location at 1747 – 1749 N. Damen in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood for $3,450,000. • Rare River North land parcel totaling ± 5,029 square feet, zoned DX-12 for $1,525,000. • Five building mixed-use portfolio in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago for $16,250,000. • Waldorf Astoria Chicago retail in the Gold Coast for $44,000,000.
