Baum Realty Group names Mike Demetriou president, announces recent hires

 

Baum Realty Group has promoted Mike Demetriou from chief operations officer to president.

He will succeed David Baum, who will continue to serve as Baum’s chief executive officer. As company president, Demetriou will focus on the strategic growth of the twenty-five year old firm, as well as management of day-to-day operations.

Demetriou joined Baum as its Chief Operating Officer in 2012 after serving as a real estate attorney at the global law firms of Sidley Austin, and Dentons, respectively.

The firm also announced the recent hiring of Jacqueline Brito and Erin Kruss as brokers.

Jacqueline Brito joined Baum as an associate in the Investment Sales division. Her focus is to develop new business and to grow existing client relationships, both locally and nationally.

Brito specializes in areas of accounting, property management, and client relations – specifically triple-net quoting and property funds management.

She is an active member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Benedictine University.

Erin Kruss joined as an associate project manager in Baum’s Tenant Representation division with an exclusive focus on the firm’s Starbucks representation.

Sheworks to secure information which facilitates transactions in some of Chicago’s most desirable downtown and suburban retail markets.

Prior to beginning her commercial real estate career, Kruss served as the director of communications & community outreach for Alderman Tom Tunney in the 44th Ward of the City of Chicago.

She graduated from John Carroll University and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois, and an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
