Bear Construction Company celebrates its 30th anniversary this summer. Company officials are reflecting on the company’s record growth and revenue, and significant changes in the construction industry.

“It’s a great sense of accomplishment to have achieved the growth that we have and to be recognized for it,” said George Wienold, CEO of Bear Construction. “More importantly, I’m proud of our efforts to develop a loyal client base. We have a dedicated team of professionals who provide top notch service to those clients every day and put their reputation on the line for Bear Construction.”

The company was started in 1984 by Nick, George and Jim Wienold who saw an opportunity to bring customized construction services—and a strong focus on customer service—to the Chicago market. During the past 30 years, the family-owned corporation has seen tremendous growth, expanding to 205 full-time employees, with 1,200 completed projects and $132 million in revenue in 2013.
