In a move to expand its portfolio in the Hodgkins, Illinois area, Bear Real Estate LLC purchased a 52,962-square-foot industrial building near I-55 and I-294 from Shamrock Real Estate LLC.
The building, located at 7515 Santa Fe Drive, is the third Hodgkins asset for Bear Real Estate. An affiliate of the buyer, Hodgkins-based Event Equipment Sales, will occupy 40,000 square feet for its new headquarters at the time of move-in this May, and will eventually lease the remaining space.
The building features 18-foot ceilings, four drive-in doors and two loading docks, as well as parking for more than 25 vehicles. Improvements to the facility are currently underway, including a new concrete floor and improved lighting system in the warehouse, as well as updates to nearly 8,100 square feet of office space.
