The American craft beer bar franchise, Beerhead Bar & Eatery, has finalized an agreement to make its Chicago debut as part of the much anticipated Addison & Clark complex in the Lakeview neighborhood. Across the street from Wrigley Field, Beerhead will begin serving its more than 500 brands of beer to baseball fans and Wrigley-goers in the spring of 2019.
Based in Vernon Hills, Illinois, the brewery has several locations already in the suburbs—including Bolingbrook, Elmhurst and Schaumburg—as well as out of state locations like Cleveland and Pittsburgh. This will be the first location within Chicago proper.
“For the first time in Illinois, we’re bringing Beerhead Bar & Eatery out of the Chicago suburbs and we cannot think of a better place to debut than Wrigley,” said Beerhead Bar and Eatery co-founder, Greg Goodrich. “Perfect before, during or after a game or for a night on the town, we believe Beerhead’s unique concept and vast beer and food selection will bring something new and exciting to the Addison & Clark development.”
Located on an L-shaped, 2.3 acre property spanning Addison and Clark streets, Addison & Clark will include 148 apartments and 150,000 square feet of retail, entertainment and dining. The project is a joint venture development between Bucksbaum Retail Properties, LLC and M&R Development. Construction is underway with plans to open in the spring of 2019.
“We are thrilled to have Beerhead join our expanding list of restaurants, retail and entertainment at Addison & Clark,” said John Bucksbaum, CEO of Bucksbaum Retail Properties. “Its massive offerings of unique beer and food are going to be a hit in the Lakeview community for tourists and Chicago residents alike.”
