The National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM), based in Chicago, formally appointed Amy Price, president and chief investment officer of Bentall Kennedy (U.S.) Limited Partnership, as its new chair of the board of directors. Price, who formerly served as vice-chair of the board, will assume her new role from outgoing chair, Peter DiCorpo, chief operating officer of Waypoint Residential.

“Amy has become a leading voice in the real estate investment management industry over the past two decades, and more recently helping to build the Bentall Kennedy real estate investment platform into the leader that it is today,” said Zoe Hughes, chief executive officer for NAREIM. “We are excited that Amy can bring that knowledge and experience to bear as we help NAREIM members connect and share intelligence that drives their own operational and management strategies.”

NAREIM’s mission is to advance the commercial real estate industry through collaboration and best practice sharing among leading investment advisors. A particular focus for the organization in recent years has been on innovation in the sector, and drawing on innovation to improve performance and solve common challenges facing fiduciaries.

“It’s an honor to serve as the new chair of NAREIM and to work alongside the organization’s leadership and membership to address the most important issues and disruptive forces facing our industry today.” said Price. “The forums for dialogue and idea exchange that NAREIM fosters amongst real estate investment managers are especially imperative in the context of today’s ever-changing marketplace and I look forward to advancing the mission of this important industry association.”
