Berkadia added director Patrick Abeln to the Medical & Life Sciences platform.
Abeln will be based in Minneapolis and will be focusing on debt placement and JV equity structuring. Abeln will report to Senior Managing Director – Head of Medical & Life Sciences Sabrina Solomiany.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Abeln served as Assistant Vice President at Hammes Partners, an institutional private equity platform that invests exclusively in healthcare real estate. He was responsible for sourcing all financing on acquisition and development projects. He was directly responsible for sourcing over $3 billion in debt from lenders nationwide.
Abeln graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree. He achieved the CFA designation in 2012.
