Berkadia closes $15 million loan for Kansas City apartment complex

Berkadia provided $15.2 million of financing for SouthRidge Apartments, a multifamily property in Kansas City, Kansas.

Managing director John Schorgl of Berkadia’s Kansas City team arranged the financing. The deal closed on June 22.

The 10-year permanent refinancing loan secured through Fannie Mae’s Green Rewards Program features a 75 percent loan-to-value ratio and a 30-year amortization schedule. The borrower was Kansas City-based Worcester Investments.

SouthRidge Apartments is located at 1100 County Line Road, close to the Roeland Park Shopping Center and nearby Johnson County, Kansas.

The property’s newly upgraded one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans feature fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, wood-burning fireplaces, large walk-in closets and high-speed internet access. Community amenities include a fitness center, two swimming pools, covered parking and gated access.
