Berkadia recently provided $24 million of financing for one of downtown Detroit’s iconic landmarks, the David Whitney Building.
Managing directors David Sibbold and Terry Halverson in the Detroit office, along with senior managing director Andy Coleman and director Mauricio Rodriguez of the Berkadia Hotels & Hospitality group, secured the financing through Citigroup Global Markets on behalf of the borrower, Whitney Partners, LLC, a joint venture of the Roxbury Group and Vos Hospitality.
The 102-year-old, 19-story building recently concluded a complete renovation. It features a 136-room Aloft Hotel, 105-luxury apartments and ground level retail.
