Big-D Midwest, a subsidiary of Big-D Construction, recently completed construction on Sonder House and Sonder Point Senior, two multifamily, affordable housing units located adjacent to one another in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
The $68 million Sonder Campus marks the fourth project that Big-D Midwest has completed for Real Estate Equities. While both apartment complexes are focused on renters making 60 percent AMI or less, Sonder Point Senior is for those age 50 and above.
Sonder House is a four-story, 127-unit housing community offering one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Major features include a rooftop clubroom with kitchen, rooftop patio with grills and firepit, fitness center, and a first -level outdoor patio with a grilling station and firepit. Big-D also completed construction of a tot lot and dog run for the building.
Sonder Point, which shares a parking lot with Sonder House, is a five-story, 143-unit development comprised of one- and two-bedroom units. The property features an attractive exterior design with modern amenities and high-quality interior finishes. Other features include a rooftop clubroom with kitchen, rooftop patio with grills and firepit, fitness center, arts and crafts room, salon, and first floor clubroom with kitchen.
