Block & Company, Inc., Realtors closed the long-term lease of a new Whataburger restaurant location at 905 NW MO-7 Highway in Blue Springs, Missouri.

David Block and Phil Peck of Block & Company represented the property ownership group in the lease transaction.

Formerly a Winstead’s location at the intersection of Interstate-70 and MO-7 Highway, this location was one of the initial locations Whataburger planned to open in the metropolitan area after announcing its entry into the Kansas City market.

The popular Texas-based fast food chain plans to redevelop the site and replace the existing structure with Whataburger’s freestanding drive-thru prototype. Construction is scheduled to begin this summer and they’re projecting the restaurant will be open for business by the end of 2021.

Block & Company will continue to handle the property management of the 51,143-square-foot property.
