Kansas City, Missouri-based developer Block Real Estate Services, LLC and MS International, Inc., a supplier of flooring, countertops, tile and hardscaping products, recently broke ground on a new 200,000-square-foot distribution facility in Lenexa, Kansas.
The development is located within Lenexa Logistics Centre, a Class-A industrial park in the Kansas City region, and will service MSI’s customers throughout the Midwest. A ground-breaking ceremony took place Dec. 7.
The state-of-the-art facility features a tilt-up concrete exterior and steel and future bridge crane structure with nearly 195,000 square feet of warehouse storage and a 5,800 square feet office. The large-scale warehouse will be utilized to store products such as luxury vinyl tile, porcelain and ceramic tile, quartz countertops, prefabricated countertops, decorative mosaics, sinks, and natural stone countertops and tile including granite, marble, travertine, slate, limestone, quartzite, and sandstone.
Additional facility features include 13 dock positions, 32’ clear height, 132 car parking spaces, and 13 trailer parking spaces. Future additions to the space will include a crane production area and showroom.
Situated on 17 acres within Lenexa Logistics Centre North, the facility’s strategic location offers easy access to I-35, I-435, & K-10. Lenexa Logistics Centre North is one of three parks that make up the overall Lenexa Logistics Centre development which includes more than three million square feet of logistics space spanning 117 acres.
MSI and BRES are partnering with ARCO National Construction – KC for their design, build, and construction needs. ARCO and BRES have previously partnered on seven additional facilities within Lenexa Logistics Centre.
The project is located at 10757 Mill Creek Road in Lenexa.
