Block Real Estate Services won the first Grand Slam Homerun award by the Kansas City CCIM chapter for the development of Teva Pharmaceuticals’ Class-A office building in Overland Park, Kansas.
CCIM each year picks four projects to receive homerun awards. This year, CCIM added a Grand Slam award for special recognition.
Deals eligible for the award have to be big, significant or unique. The CCIM’s board of directors reviews each application and chooses winners in industrial, office, retail and investment.
Kenneth Block, managing principal, and Brad Simma, vice president, of Block Construction Services, were the leads on the Teva development. The pair received their Grand Slam award May 16.
