Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) announced that Bob Chodos will join the firm as executive vice chairman. He will join NGKF’s Chicago office and will focus on growing the NGKF brand in tenant representation and occupier services in the mid-west region and nationally.
Chodos has been in the industry for 33 years. Previously, he was a principal and executive vice president of Colliers International where he spent the past eleven years. He was chairman of the Colliers Tenant Rep Practice Group for the Americas.
Chodos has earned several achievements throughout his career, including nine nominations for the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s Chicago Tenant Rep Broker of Year award, as well as winning the award in 1991 and 1997. He was also the winner of the NAIOP Downtown Office Transaction of the Year award in 2012 as well as the Suburban Office Transaction of the Year award in 2005.
In addition to his role, he is a member of SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors’, COLBA (Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association) and the Economic Club of Chicago. He is also a member of the board of directors and executive committee for Junior Achievement of Chicago, a non-profit organization that seeks to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in today’s global economy. In addition, he sits on the board of directors for the Chicago Central Area Committee and The American Red Cross of Greater Chicago.
