The current COO of Chicago-based Zeller, Bob Six, has been promoted to CEO of Zeller and vice president of Zeller Development Corporation; Sam Zeller has been promoted to COO and will work in tandem with Six. Former CEO, Paul Zeller, will remain the chairman and founder of Zeller and will retain control of capital allocation for the firm as well.
Six joined Zeller in 2001 and served in the COO role since 2007. In his new role as CEO, Six will oversee all aspects of Zeller and its affiliates: Zeller Realty Corporation, Zeller Management Corporation, Zeller Development Corporation and Zeller Investment Corporation. In his new role as COO, Zeller will oversee the management and administration for all of the firm’s entities and properties. He will provide leadership to Zeller’s asset management group, leasing and marketing executives, and will be fully engaged with the development and property management groups. Zeller has worked in various capacities at the company since 2013 and served in his current role since 2018.
Before joining Zeller, he practiced with Goettsch Partners and with John Ronan Architects. Zeller’s experience and interest in architecture also influenced him to teach, beginning at the University of Michigan, and then serving as an assistant professor of architecture on the tenure track at Kansas State University’s highly ranked College of Architecture Planning and Design. Sam also holds a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
