BOMA/Chicago has big goal this holiday season: collect more than 85,000 pounds of canned food for the needy

boma-chicago-1BOMA/Chicago’s partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository remains a strong one. Since 2008, BOMA/Chicago has provided more than 364,000 means to people throughout Cook County who often don’t know where their next meal will come from.

This year, more than 145 BOMA/Chicago member buildings throughout downtown Chicago and the surrounding area are participating in a massive holiday food drive. The goal this year is to collect 85,000 pounds of canned food goods.

Last year, BOMA/Chicago’s goal was to collect 80,000 pounds of food. The organization set a record by actually collecting more than 127,000 pounds.

Want to contribute to this year’s drive? You can find drop-off locations for canned goods here. BOMA/Chicago is collecting canned goods during its holiday food drive through Dec. 16.
