The Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago (BOMA/Chicago) has selected 190 S. LaSalle as its new headquarters. The relocation was precipitated by the sale of 115 N. Lasalle St., BOMA’s current home, to the State of Illinois last year. A February 2024 office move is planned.
A task force led by BOMA/Chicago Board Members Pat Caruso of L. J. Sheridan and Harvey Camins of CTK Partners recommended 190 S. LaSalle after reviewing proposals from a number of BOMA/Chicago’s outstanding member buildings. “With record vacancy levels and a challenging downtown office market, it is more important than ever that our industry be able to collaborate,” says Farzin Parang, BOMA/Chicago’s executive director. “Our goal was to reaffirm our industry’s commitment to the Central Loop while expanding our capacity to connect with members and partners. Our new space will allow us to modernize our conference rooms and add new facilities to host our education and other programming, all while maintaining our presence on LaSalle Street as it undergoes a historic transformation.”
Construction will be managed by 190 S. LaSalle. The following BOMA/Chicago member companies are assisting in the development of the new office and the association’s relocation:
Owner’s Rep and Project Management: K+P Advisory, LLC
Counsel: David Arnburg, Gould & Ratner, LLP
Architect: MRSA Architects & Planners
Glass and Metal: MTH Industries
Electrical: REX Electric and Technologies
Access Control: Kastle Systems
Logo Wall Design: Torque, Ltd.
Office Movers: Chicago Office Movers
BOMA/Chicago moved to 115 S. LaSalle Street in 2008 and wishes to thank Hines for its partnership over the Association’s many years. The association also would like to thank the State of Illinois and the Prime Group for their support during our relocation process and for their continued investment in Chicago’s downtown.
