BOMA Chicago’s 2016 Diversity Celebration raises $57,000 for the Ollie Scholarship Program

More than 300 professionals attended BOMA Chicago‘s 2016 Diversity Celebration, April 14. The event, held at 200 E. Randolph, marked the 10th anniversary of the Reginald L. Ollie Inclusion and Outreach Scholarship.

The Ollie Scholarship began in 2006 and since then, 14 industry professionals have been awarded. Those selected are ones who have taken a collective total of more than 70 RPA classes– a value of more than $75 thousand dollars.

This year’s scholarship went to Ebony Andry of Sterling Bay, and Dominique Garrett-Flowers of JLL.

BOMA exceeded previous fundraising records through their 36 sponsorships, which collectively raised a record-breaking $57,000 for the Ollie Scholarship Program.

The BOMA/Chicago Foundation hosts the Diversity Celebration each year to raise funds for the Ollie Scholarship, which provides full tuition for the RPA designation to underrepresented professionals in CRE.
