The North Central Region of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International recently announced the Regional winners of The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award competition. Four Regional TOBY Award winners are members of BOMA/Suburban Chicago and management teams were notified last week with a surprise visit from members of the BOMA/Suburban Chicago Awards & Recognition Committee and BOMA staff.
Arboretum Lakes has been named the 2018 Regional TOBY Award winner in the Suburban Office Park, Mid-Rise Category. Arboretum Lakes, located in Lisle, Illinois, is managed and owned by Millbrook Properties. The 100,000 to 249,999 Square Feet Category 2018 Regional TOBY Award went to Edens, located in Northbrook, Illinois, and managed by NAI Hiffman and owned by KBS Realty Advisors.
Naperville Woods Office Center is the 2018 Regional TOBY Award winner for the Suburban Office Park Low-Rise Category. The property is located in Naperville, Illinois, and managed by NAI Hiffman and owned by Agellan Commercial REIT. Finally, Windy Point II was named the 2018 Regional TOBY Award winner for the 250,000-499,999 Square Feet Category. Located in Schaumburg, Illinois, Windy Point II is managed and owned by Bridge Commercial Real Estate, LLC.
The TOBY Awards is the most prestigious and comprehensive program of its kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing excellence in office buildings management and operations in specific categories of building size or type. To win the Regional award, the office buildings first won at the Local competition level. The North Central Region includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky. There were 16 properties that competed in 11 TOBY categories this year from BOMA/Chicago, BOMA/Columbus, BOMA/Indianapolis, BOMA/Metro Detroit and BOMA/Suburban Chicago.
