Bradley Company, the exclusive leasing and property management firm for the Columbia Plaza retail center in Columbia City, Indiana, has closed a new 15-year lease with the center’s anchor store, an Aldi grocer.
Aldi has begun an expansion and renovation of the store that will encompass the entire 22,000-square-foot building. Located at the southwest quadrant of U.S. Route 30 and N. Line Street in Columbia City, Aldi has been a fixture in the Plaza since 1984.
The international grocer has committed to a new 15-year lease, a doubling of its store size and a significant investment in both its premises and Columbia City. Columbia Plaza, operating under new ownership an entity of The Philipsborn Company, worked in conjunction with Mayor Ryan Daniel and Chip Hill of the City of Columbia City, to make this development a reality. The new store will re-open in the fall.
Columbia Plaza is simultaneously renovating 11,000 square feet of available space situated between the new Aldi grocery store and the adjoining Walgreens store.
