Bridge Development Partners has just closed on 50 acres of land in Lockport, along the I-355 extension. The new site is midway between I-55 and I-80 and has extensive frontage along I-355.
The park can accommodate up to 1 million square feet of state-of-the-art light industrial/distribution space. Bridge will be pursuing build-to-suit projects, for sale or lease and intends to break ground on a speculative building in 2013.
“With the clear trend of recent absorption in the southwest corridor, the market recovery is well underway and we think it’s time to acquire high quality land parcels and begin planning the next phase of development. The I-355 corridor is the next great infill development location,” said Steve Poulos of Bridge Development Partners.
“This is an extremely well located piece of land in the I-355 corridor. It’s fully zoned, entitled and ready for development and there aren’t many parcels of this caliber available. Recent absorption of available space and strong build-to-suit activity make it a great time to bring this project to the market,” saidMark Barbato, principal of Nicolson, Porter & List Inc., marketing agent for the new project.
