Brown Commercial Group worked with buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants on five commercial real estate transactions totaling 32,575 square feet across the western suburbs and in Rockford, Illinois. Each of the transactions included a building user who was opening a new business, adding a new location or expanding its business footprint.

“We are seeing businesses expanding in a variety of arenas, from construction to sports training to food services,” said Dan Brown, principal and president at Brown Commercial Group. “Consumers are continuing to buy products, services and entertainment, causing all kinds of industrial businesses in the Chicago suburban market to grow.”

Brown Commercial Group broker, Brian Lindgren, represented the buyer, Vault Designs, in purchasing an 11,375-square-foot building at 4909 Colt Road in Rockford. The company, based in South Elgin, Illinois, plans to use the space for overflow storage for its construction business. The seller, GFMS Leasing was represented by Tracy Eastman of Dickerson & Nieman Realtors. Lindgren also represented both the tenant and the building owner in Affordable Party Tent Rental’s 5,000-square-foot lease at 39 W 835 Midan Drive in Elburn, Illinois. The tenant was expanding from a smaller warehouse in St. Charles, Illinois.

Brown Commercial Group partner, Trinity Scurto, represented DV Metal Art in its acquisition of a 9,000-square-foot facility at 790 Maple Lane in Bensenville, Illinois. The buyer was previously leasing a building in Elk Grove Village, Illinois and was interested in owning its own property. Scurto also represented the seller, a private owner.

Finally, there were two deals in Naperville, Illinois. Lindgren represented a private investor in its lease of 4,000 square feet at 425 Industrial Drive, Unit 137A to Quantum Sports Performance, a youth sports training facility. Brown Commercial Group broker, Maria McNeil, represented the building owner in the lease of 3,200 square feet of retail space at 1904 Brookdale Road to a commercial kitchen and cooking class business set to open in January 2020.
