Brown Commercial Group, based in Elk Grove Village, IL, has completed a 37,000-square-foot lease for Elgin Recycling Inc. at 86 Prairie Pkwy in Gilberts, IL. Daniel R. Brown, President of Brown Commercial Group, represented the tenant in the transaction.
The new space, part of the 60-acre Prairie Business Park, will help the firm expand its electronics recycling operations and improve efficiencies. The firm is expanding from a 16,000-square-foot space in Elgin. The new space is in the Prairie Business Park, part of a 100,234-square-foot building that is just a few blocks from its corporate office and iron yard in Gilberts. The new building is part of a large, mixed-use development by Interstate Partners.
This is the fifth transaction Brown has completed for Elgin Recycling as it has grown throughout the northwest suburbs. Elgin Recycling handles a variety of metal and electronics products from its corporate office and iron yard in Gilberts, along with its recycling centers in Palatine, Crystal Lake, Elgin and Arlington Heights, IL. The company has achieved the prestigious R2 (Responsible Recycling) certification for its approach to recycling computer components and other electronics.
The tenant expects to move in by mid-January, 2015.
Prairie Business Park, at the southwest corner of Higgins and Tyrell Roads, is close to I-90 and regional transportation corridors. This is the second transaction Brown Commercial Group has completed in that building this year, bringing the total leased by Brown Commercial to 57,000 square feet.
