Brown Commercial Group negotiated five industrial and retail transactions totaling 31,011 square feet in Chicago’s western and northwestern suburbs.
In the largest transaction, Brown Commercial Group Broker Maria McNeil represented an electronics recycling company in its lease of 17,200 square feet at 1270 Abbott Dr. in Elgin, Illinois. The business more than doubled its space from its previous location in Batavia, Illinois. K&L Elgin Properties represented the owner in the transaction.
In the largest sale transaction, Brown Commercial Group Broker Matt Hanson represented the seller of a 5,180-square-foot freestanding building at 1125 N. Prospect Ave. in Itasca, Illinois, to the owners of an acting school, which will use the building as its headquarters. Hanson was able to complete the retail transaction within 30 days, given the strong market and lack of available space. Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Chicago’s Brigitte Blair represented the buyer.
Other transactions included:
- Broker Candace Scurto represented the building owner in the lease of a 3,388-square-foot space at 120-122 Touhy Court in Des Plaines, Illinois, to Elite Gaming. The space will be used for the company’s administrative staff and for storage.
- McNeil represented the seller of a 3,170-square-foot flex condo at 2600 Beverly Dr. in Aurora, Illinois. The condo was sold to a growing pest control company, who was represented by Mike Gazzola of Entre Commercial.
- Broker Collin Tyrrell represented TJ and Logistics in the lease of a 2,073-square-foot space at 5410 Newport Dr., #44 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
