Bystronic, a developer, manufacturer and supplier of laser cutting, press brake and metal bending systems, held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new advanced Experience Center and U.S. corporate headquarters. The 162,875-square-foot facility will be located in the western Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, directly off of Interstate 90.
Jeff Janda, SIOR and Mike Plumb, principals of Lee & Associates’ Illinois office, represented Bystronic in this build-to-suit. Conor Commercial Real Estate is the developer and the facility is being built by McShane Construction Company. Mike Sedjo and Jack Brennan of CBRE represented the developer. The facility was designed by Heitman Architects, Inc. Construction on the facility will be completed by the summer of 2019.
The new Bystronic Experience Center will feature an advanced showroom, where visitors can experience the company’s innovations first-hand with an entire range of sheet metal processing solutions. The facility will serve as the new hub for Bystronic U.S. business operations, currently headquartered in Elgin, Illinois; including sales, service, spare parts and the refurbishing of used machines.
