Cadence McShane Construction Company broke ground on the new Parkhill Middle School for longtime client Richardson Independent School District (RISD) in Dallas.
Located on the site of the current Parkhill Junior High School at 16500 Shadybank Drive in Dallas, the new school is part of RISD’s district-wide initiative to transform its remaining junior high schools serving grades seven and eight into middle schools serving grades six through eight.
The three-story, 201,209-square-foot building will feature classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, administrative offices, a library, a cafeteria, competition gyms, and locker rooms. The building is being developed through a multi-phase construction program designed to maintain campus operations throughout construction.
Cadence McShane will also complete extensive site improvements, including a track, practice field, tennis courts, and a courtyard plaza, creating a comprehensive, modernized campus for students and the surrounding community.
Completion of Parkhill Middle School is expected for December 2028. Stantec is the architect of record.
