Cal-Co Cutaways recently acquired a 22,000-square-foot building at 439 Dartmoor Avenue in Crystal Lake. For more than 50 years CalCo has helped hundreds of manufacturers present their products for training and display purposes by creating cutaways, the craft of exposing internal components of durable goods products such as engines, pumps and motors. Technology advancements now help products communicate a message in many areas such as 3D animation, lightweight modeling, lighted working models and training simulators.
Cal-Co was attracted to the building due to its heavy power, full air-conditioning and potential for multi-tenant configuration. Dan Benassi and Dan Jones of Entre Commercial Realty represented Cal-Co and Bruce Kaplan of Premier Commercial Realty represented the seller.
