
Carmel, Indiana-based Lauth Group appointed J.B. Curry as Chief Development Officer, bringing deep national experience in multifamily real estate development and disciplined execution to the firm’s leadership team.
In this role, Curry will lead the growth and execution of Lauth’s multifamily development platform, overseeing projects from site evaluation and deal structuring through entitlements, design coordination, and construction handoff. He will also partner closely with Lauth’s industrial leadership team, supporting the execution of development strategy across the company’s industrial pipeline.
With a professional background spanning both finance and law, Curry brings extensive experience developing, negotiating, and executing large‑scale multifamily and mixed‑use projects nationwide. Over the course of his career, he has been directly involved in over 100 deals across 23 states, representing 14,000 residential units, 15M square feet, and approximately $3B in total development costs.
Prior to joining Lauth, Curry held senior executive leadership roles at a nationally recognized, vertically integrated multifamily development firm, where he helped guide development strategy and company‑wide operations. During his tenure, the firm was consistently ranked among the top 25 multifamily developers in the United States, reflecting disciplined execution and sustained portfolio growth.
Curry holds a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He is actively involved in the real estate and Indianapolis communities, serving as a mentor and advisor with multiple industry and nonprofit organizations.
