William (Bill) French Senior managing director, principal Cassidy Turley Indianapolis
For nearly three decades, William French has ranked as one of the top producers in the commercial real estate industry. This is good news for the Indianapolis office of Cassidy Turley. Today, French is that office’s senior managing director and principal. He’s also closed some of the biggest deals in the Indianapolis area, helping that city’s Cassidy Turley office to thrive.
French has specialized in closing retail transactions during his 28-year career in commercial real estate. In fact, he’s closed more than 250 transactions in the last four years alone. He’s also developed and redeveloped free-standing properties worth more than $50 million in values and completed more than 1,500 transactions in his career.
And French has shown no signs of slowing down. In 2012, he closed a 75,000-square-foot lease for Burlington Coat Factory in the Castleton Crossing Shopping Center in Indianapolis. He also sold two Sherwin-Williams single net lease investment properties. Overall for 2012, French had, through September of the year, leased 256,000 square feet in the Indianapolis area.
Thanks in large part to this kind of success, French is a sought-after retail expert at Cassidy Turley. He currently chairs the Cassidy Turley Retail Council Board and the National Retail Practice Group.
French has also earned several top honors during his commercial career. From 1987 through 1990 and from 1995 through 2011, French has ranked as the top retail division producer at Cassidy Turley’s Indianapolis office. From 2002 through 2008 and in 2010 and 2011, he was named to Cassidy Turley’s President’s Club. And from 2000 through 2003, he earned the Cassidy Turley Indianapolis George C. Charbonneau Leadership & Performance Award, one of the top honors that a Cassidy Turley professional can attain.
French has also given back to his community. He served as the Indiana State Chairman for the International Council of Shopping Centers from 1999 through 2002 and is still an active member of the association. He is also a member of the United Way Toucqueville Society, the Columbia Club of Indianapolis and the Ball State University College of Business board of advisors.
