CB Richard Ellis has represented 4220 Kildare LLC in two recent leases at its refrigerated warehouse facility located at 4220 South Kildare in the Crawford Industrial Park on Chicago’s southwest side.
“Both transactions reflect the ongoing strength of the overall industrial market, particularly for food companies in Chicago, in spite of the challenging market conditions in the overall real estate sector,” said Steven Livaditis of CB Richard Ellis in a released statement. Livaditis was the sole broker in the transactions along with John Suerth.
Preferred Freezer signed a lease for 51,394 square feet. The space will serve as overflow cooler storage for the company’s freezer operations in Chicago. Term for the lease is one year, with additional options.
Harvest Foods expanded to 135,542 square feet in the building and renewed its lease for five years. The location is used to operate the company’s pre-packed food business.
Built in 1981 and renovated in 1987, 4220 South Kildare is a 406,448-square-foot refrigerated warehouse facility. The multi-tenant building includes 15,000 square feet of expandable freezer space, an 800-square-foot staging area, 500 square feet of office space, fully racked, 0 to -5 degrees Fahrenheit and is located adjacent to a continental freezer building.
