CBRE brokers win Deal of Year awards for their work in Wisconsin

CB Richard Ellis brokers Chase Brieman and Ellen Powers were recently awarded a total of three 2010 Deal of the Year awards by The Commercial Brokers Group. The Board used an unbiased third-party voting panel to establish winners in each category. The categories were office, retail, industrial and investment/multi-family.

Brieman, a senior associate, was honored for his representation of Hewlett-Packard in the office sector. Brieman and CBRE’s Global Corporate Services represented Hewlett-Packard in the lease of 73,166 squiare feet of Class-A office space in Madison.

Hewlett-Packard leased the entire five-story office building with a high parking ratio of about seven stalls per 1,000 square feet.

In addition, Brieman was honored for his representation of the landlord, True North Investments, in the leasing of space to US Oil Co. in the industrial category. US Oil Co. leased 121,000 square feet of warehouse/distribution space in Madison. This facility is an upgraded and renovated high-bay warehouse situated in an excellent location for warehousing and logistics, with close proximity to the Beltline Highway and I-90/94, allowing for easy access to Milwaukee, Chicago and Minneapolis.

Ellen Powers, a vice president with CB Richard Ellis, was honored for her representation of Willy Street Co-Op in the retail sector. Powers represented Willy Street Co-op in the leasing of 20,130 square feet of retail space in Middleton, Wis.
