CBRE arranged the sale of 1133 W. Kinzie (southeast corner of Kinzie & Racine) and 1201 W. Kinzie, two redevelopment land sites totaling 41,714 square feet in Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood. Range Group purchased 1133 W. Kinzie, while a Chicago-based developer/investor purchased 1201 W. Kinzie, both from North Carroll, LLC.
CBRE’s Tom Svoboda, Dominic Soltero and Larry Goldwasser represented the seller in both transactions.
Development plans for 1133 W. Kinzie include a 109-unit multifamily development, while plans for 1201 W. Kinzie include a 66-unit multifamily development.
Located near the intersection of Racine Avenue and Kinzie Street, the properties offer convenient access to the Morgan CTA station, downtown Chicago and Fulton Market’s growing collection of dining, entertainment and lifestyle amenities.
Fulton Market has evolved into one of the nation’s premier mixed-use urban neighborhoods and remains among the most desirable development destinations in Chicago. The neighborhood’s continued transformation, highlighted by major new developments such as Related Midwest’s recently announced Sidley Austin-anchored office project, reflects the strong momentum and investment activity that continue to shape the district. As growth extends throughout the neighborhood, the northwest portion of Fulton Market is increasingly emerging as an important component of its next chapter, with several sites offering the potential for future high-density development.
