CBRE recently represented Chicago-based R2 Companies in the sale of 800-810 Fulton Market, a 25,952-square-foot property in Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood. New York-based Thor Equities purchased the asset for $12.2 million.
“This area is exploding with growth right now and the buyer is well-positioned to take advantage of this area’s demand,” said Keely Polczynski of CBRE who represented R2 Companies in the deal. “The property offers a lot of potential opportunity and [it] will be exciting to see what they do with it.”
A corner location at the entrance to Fulton Market, the property is a non-landmarked building with flexible zoning options. Thor Equities has purchased several buildings in the neighborhood, including the nearby 816-820 Fulton Market and a five-building portfolio it acquired in 2016 for $36 million.
