CBRE hires pair of industry veterans in Cleveland office

CBRE has hired Warren Blazy III and Eric Smith as senior vice president and senior associate in the Cleveland office.

Blazy and Smith will specialize in office leasing and occupier representation throughout Northeast Ohio.

Blazy comes to CBRE from JLL where he was a senior vice president and focused primarily on advising companies and corporations with their real estate strategies in the greater Cleveland area, resulting in more than 3 million square feet of office leasing over his nearly 20-year career.

Blazy initially began his commercial real estate career at CBRE as an associate in 2004. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and psychology from Hiram College and is an active board member of several Cleveland organizations including Providence House and Warehouse District Inc. He also is an active member of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance Economic Development Committee.

Smith began his career in commercial real estate in 2018. Prior to joining CBRE, he was an associate at JLL, where he primarily represented landlords in the leasing of office space across Cleveland, Akron and Toledo markets. In addition, his work included office tenant representation across the region.

Prior to JLL, Smith was a transaction manager with local ownership group, Crescendo Commercial Realty, where he oversaw the company’s leasing and transactions in Northeast Ohio and Texas. He started his career working with a national brokerage firm providing wealth management and financial planning to clients. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a dual major in finance and pre-law from Ohio University.
