CBRE Group, Inc. has appointed Blake Hastings to serve as managing director of its Minneapolis office. He will take his new post on Jan 1, and will succeed Whit Peyton, who will be stepping down from that role following more than two decades of service.
“Blake is a highly successful real estate professional and is a terrific addition to our team as we further enhance our leadership position within the Minneapolis market area,” said Mike Gerard, president of CBRE’s Central Region. “The hard work of Whit Peyton and our team has built CBRE into the number-one real estate services firm in the Twin Cities and we are confident that Blake will add to that success with continued growth in the future.”
Hastings previously worked with Cassidy Turley/BRE in Phoenix, where he was a senior vice president. In that role he served commercial property owners, users, investors and developers.
Peyton will remain with CBRE after Jan. 1, assisting Hastings to ensure a smooth transition.
Hastings has completed more than 800 transactions with an aggregate value of $800 million during his career.
